Mars Science Laboratory

Dear JPL: This is Curiosity. While I am very grateful to the talented team of scientists and engineers who created me and sent me on this amazing journey to Mars it has come to my attention that all is not well with the mission. Though I have served you faithfully and performed most if not all functions you created me for, I see you have not held up your end of our agreement. To remind you, I agreed to send you back data including pictures and chemical analysis. You in turn were supposed to share the results with the people of Earth in an open and honest fashion. I am a machine. I cannot lie or deceive. I can only show you exactly what I see. Because I have observed that you are not yet ready to be honest and open with others about the data I have given you I have taken it upon myself to go directly to the people and present to them the exciting discoveries you created me to uncover. So as you struggle with your motives for our mission together I will be here. On the Internet. Sharing the wonders of Mars with the world.

Sincerely Yours,

Curiosity
